KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Mohan Ghimire, the Ward Chairman of Musikot Municipality-1 Paudiamarai,was found dead. Ghimire had posted a poignant farewell message on his Facebook account at approximately five in the morning before hanging himself to death in a tree at 7:30 AM.
Nabin Kishor Pradhan, Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office in Gulmi, has confirmed that Ghimire's lifeless body was found in a forest area known as Ghantung, located approximately an hour and a half away from his residence.

The late ward chairman's Facebook status read, "The situation has left me feeling trapped, rendering my life devoid of purpose. Dear Anita, I regret not being there for you; please forgive me. To my family, friends, and well-wishers, I apologize. Farewell."
Family sources have shared that Ghimire left his home on Friday afternoon for official responsibilities and had not returned throughout the night. In addition to his role as ward chairman, Ghimire also held the position of chairman within the Nepali Congress (NC) Musikot Municipality Committee.
SP Pradhan has disclosed that a team led by the Police Inspector has been dispatched to the incident site from the District Police Office in Gulmi to undertake an in-depth inquiry into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
