KATHMANDU, April 30: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has congratulated CPN-UML candidate Suhang Nembang for securing victory in Ilam-2 by-elections.
The party issued a statement today congratulating Nembang, who was elected to the House of Representatives, and also admitted that the results of the election show some shortcomings in the party’s efforts.

In a statement issued by the party's General Secretary Dr Mukul Dhakal, it is mentioned that in the upcoming meeting of the party's central committee, a thorough review of the by-election will be conducted.
"The election results have indicated that there is a serious weakness in our efforts," the statement said, “We are alerted by the signal bell sounded by the Ilam-2 by-elections.”
The party has expressed that it will participate in the democratic process and respect the opinion expressed by the people even if the result is not favorable to them. “Even if the result is not favorable to us, we always respect the opinion expressed by the people by participating in the democratic process. Also, we express our sincere respect and gratitude to the party members and well-wishers who dedicated themselves to the election campaign and worked tirelessly."
