KATHMANDU, Feb 10: There is a partial influence of westerly wind in Nepal at present. The weather is mostly clear in the hilly parts of the country while the rest of the country is partly cloudy.
According to the Meteorology Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there has been a storm in many places in Terai. The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces this afternoon, while it will remain mainly clear in the rest of the provinces.
Light rainfall expected in Koshi province
Similarly, there is a possibility of light snowfall in the afternoon at some places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the MFD said. Tonight, the weather will remain generally clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy.
The MFD has said that there is a possibility of light snowfall in some places of high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
