KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported a partial effect of westerly winds currently impacting Nepal.
According to the Division, the hilly areas of the country are experiencing partial to normal rainfall.

Lumbini, Madhesh and Koshi provinces are experiencing fog. Afternoon weather is expected to be clear in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with light rain possible.
Some areas might see light snowfall. Nighttime will be clear in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, but high hills may have light snowfall.
The Division advises precautions due to diverse weather, including rain, fog, and snow, intensifying winter chill.
