KATHMANDU, Aug 21: The daily coronavirus death count in Nepal crossed 10 for the first time on Friday.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 11 fatalities linked to coronavirus were reported in various parts of the country in the past 24 hours.

At a regular virtual media briefing, spokesperson for the MoHP Jageshwar Gautam said that one woman and 10 men, who earlier had tested positive for COVID-19, died.
According to him, one person each from Morang, Parsa, Bara, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Makawanpur, Chitwan, Saptari, Sarlahi, Dolakha, and Pyuthan succumbed to novel coronavirus disease.
"With this, Nepal's coronavirus death toll has reached 137 today," spokesperson Gautam said during the media briefing.
Nepal witnessed at least 838 new cases of coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, taking the country's COVID-19 tally to 30,483, according to the spokesperson.
