Gautam shared that 823 persons who earlier tested positive for COVID-19 returned home after recovery in the past 24 hours.

This is the highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases, officials said. The spike in the number of COVID-19 cases is attributed to the increasing number of people entering Nepal from India after the government eased the nationwide lockdown.
