BIRGUNJ, July 28: The District Administration Office (DAO), Parsa has sealed off Jagadamba Enterprises following the confirmation of novel coronavirus infection in four employees at the industry located at Birgunj Pathlaiya Industrial Corridor in Birgunj Metropolitan City-32.
A team from the DAO, Parsa locked the main gate of the factory earlier on Tuesday afternoon. According to Lalit Kumar Basnet, spokesperson for Crisis Management Center, Parsa, the industry was sealed off in a bid to curtail the further spread of COVID-19.

The chief executive officer of Jagadamba Enterprises tested positive for COVID-19 earlier on July 21. Following his infection, three other staffers (aged 26, 48 and 56) were diagnosed with this disease on Monday evening in the course of contact tracing.
The factory was sealed off following consultation with the stakeholders, said Basnet.
Meanwhile, the local administration has directed the factories to place the laborers coming from other places under isolation though they do not develop any symptoms for COVID-19. Similarly, the factories within the district are also instructed to conduct PCR tests of all those laborers coming from India. “The factories shall bear the cost of the tests, lodging and food of all the labors during this period.”
