Woman dies in tiger attack

CHITWAN, Oct 2: A woman died when she was fatally attacked by a tiger at a community forest at Kumroj buffer zone in eastern part of the Chitwan district on today morning.

CHITWAN, Oct 2: A woman died when she was fatally attacked by a tiger at a community forest at Kumroj buffer zone in eastern part of the Chitwan district on today morning. 


The deceased has been identified as Aailu Chudhary, 25, from Chitwan, according to the Chitwan National Park.

CPN's Information Officer Nurendra Aryal shared that the incident occurred while Chaudhary had gone to the nearest forest to collect fern along with her nine friends. The latter fled to safety as the wild beast turned up that eventually mauled Chaudhary to death. 

A team of CNP and Nepal Army have been dispatched to the accident site on elephant to recover the deceased's body, shared Information Officer Aryal. 


Altogether 13 persons had lost their live to the attack of the wild animals in the Park in the last fiscal year, according to the CNP. (RSS)
