Woman fined Rs 200 thousand for beating up dalit

KALIKOT, Jan 27: A woman here has been fined Rs 200 thousand for beating up another woman from the Dalit community.

KALIKOT, Jan 27: A woman here has been fined Rs 200 thousand for beating up another woman from the Dalit community. 



Janaki Bam of Thirpu-9 thrashed one Malchhina Lohar of Thirpu-3, leaving her seriously injured over the issue of financial transaction. She is being treated at the Bheri Zonal Hospital. 



The victim suffered injury to her back and neck. Her husband Karbir Lohar reached the District Administration Office with a complaint against Bam for beating up his wife. 



He filed a case under the attempted murder and untouchability against Bam and the Office settled the case by making the assaulter to pay medical treatment expense to the victim after 15 days of the registration of the case. RSS
