World Cup Qualifier: Nepal and Laos share points

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Nepal came from behind to secure a point in its World Cup Qualifier match against at the Dasharath Stadium on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Nepal came from behind to secure a point in its World Cup Qualifier match against at the Dasharath Stadium on Thursday.     


Laos took the lead in the 33rd minute. The visiting team’s captain Baulpachan Boyankong scored to give an early lead to Laos.

Nepal leveled the score in the 49th minute of the match, thanks to a goal by Anjan Bista, who scored a header utilizing Erik Bista's corner kick.     


The second leg of the match between the two countries will be played in Laos on October 17. The winner of this match will advance to the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.
