World EV Day: Nissan’s Green Mission for South Asia

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Nissan organized a virtual session for Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka markets on making electric mobility more accessible in the South Asian markets to create a more sustainable green future.

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Nissan organized a virtual session for Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka markets on making electric mobility more accessible in the South Asian markets to create a more sustainable green future.


According to a statement issued by the company on the occasion of the World EV Day, the societal and economic benefits of driving more sustainability in the South Asian countries could not be understated. The availability of an abundant amount of hydropower in Nepal and Bhutan has made both countries very strong cases for EVs, both environmentally and economically.

Nissan recently launched the zero-emission Nissan LEAF EV in Nepal at a special introductory price of Rs 5.99 million to the first 50 customers.
