KATHMANDU, March 20: The World Oral Health Day has been marked in Nepal by organising various programs on Saturday.


At an interaction program in Kathmandu on Saturday, experts argued that 90 percent of the total diseases could be prevented if proper oral hygiene is maintained.

The World Oral Health Day was marked under the theme of 'Be Proud of Your Mouth'. 


As a part of the awareness campaign, Om Samaj Dental Hospital in partnership with Dental Association conducted an awareness raising event and felicitated different personalities for their contribution in the oral hygiene sector.


On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha pointed out the need to raise public awareness on oral health. He also asked all people not to take this issue lightly.
