KATHMANDU, Oct 5: With the theme ' Valuing Teachers, Improving their Status', the World Teachers' Day is being observed across the country organizing various programmes today.
The annual event of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is being celebrated in more than 100 countries across the world on October 5 since 1994 to commemorate the work of teachers and their contributions to society.

The Day is celebrated with great verve among teachers and students of different educational institutions and education activists among others.
Towards this, Nepal Teachers' Association is organizing a programme in presence of Minister of Education Dhaniram Poudel. The Association has been demanding the celebration of the Day at government level. RSS
