KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Yeti Airlines and Kantipur Television won their respective matches of the Coca Cola Indoor Corporate Cup cricket tournament on Thursday, the inaugural day of the tournament, held at the Velocity Arena in Ratopul, Kathmandu.
Prafulla Baidhya came up with all-round performance for Yeti Airlines in its nine-run win over NCC Bank. Prafulla contributed unbeaten 33 runs and claimed two wickets for Yeti Airlines that scored 84/5 in the 12-over match. Narendra KC contributed 14 runs. In the run chase, NCC Bank managed 75/6 at close. Prajwol Regmi (unbeaten 24 runs) and Suraj Dhungana (14) were the notable contributors for NCC. Besides Prafulla, Rabi Shara of Yeti Airlines also pocketed two wickets.
In another match, Kantipur overcame Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) by six wickets. Electing to bat first, NSJF scored 83/3. Subash Humagain contributed 28 runs for NSJF. In the run chase, Roshan Shrestha remained unbeaten for 54 runs as Kantipur surpassed the target in 10.1 over for the loss of one wicket.
