Youth electrocuted to death

SARLAHI, Jan 8: A youth has been electrocuted to death at Bagmati municipality along the East-West Highway in the district on Tuesday.

SARLAHI, Jan 8: A youth has been electrocuted to death at Bagmati municipality along the East-West Highway in the district on Tuesday.


According to police, 31-year-old Santosh Shrestha of Bagmati municipality-11 died due to electric shock while he was pumping water from the Bagmati Irrigation canal, said Area Police Office, Hariwan.

Critically injured Shrestha passed away while being rushed to Hariwan-based Swabhiman Hospital.  


His body has been taken to District Hospital, Malangawa, said police.


Meanwhile, a cyclist has sustained critical injuries after being hit by a motorcycle in Hariwan Municipality-6.


The injured is 56-year-old Ram Bahadur Mahato.


Police said they have taken motorcyclist involved in the incident under control and are investigating the case.
