Youth Sherma scales Mt. Everest for world peace

KATHMANDU, May 25: Mountaineer Sushil Sherma from Limbu community has scaled Mt. Everest, the highest peak of the world, to disseminate messages that the nuclear weapons should be stopped right away.

KATHMANDU, May 25: Mountaineer Sushil Sherma from Limbu community has scaled Mt. Everest, the highest peak of the world, to disseminate messages that the nuclear weapons should be stopped right away.


Speaking at an interaction organized at Reporters Club Nepal on Thursday, Sherma said that he reached atop the world peak at 8:53 am on May 19 and put up a flag in a symbolic message, calling for the world peace.

“I am very happy today because I did not only introduce my birthplace Panchthar by climbing Mt. Everest but also urged the world to stop the mass proliferation of nuclear weapons from the top of the world,” said Sherma


Meanwhile, he called one and all to participate in the mass destruction weapons mitigation campaign for the sake of the world peace.
