With the upcoming election being the talk of the town, people have grown hopeful to invite progressive policies in the country.

Republica here talked to a few people about their view on how the upcoming election would have an impact on the career scope and perspective in Nepal.

Nitesh Chettri

Marketing representative

We now would be able to elect local representative, who hopefully have a clearer insight of the local scenarios and the need of right representative in the policy making positions. Thus, I hope that they would be able to address the problems related to unemployment, inadequate educational facilities in the rural setting and advocate the policies that would encourage the provision of better educational facilities inside our own country and invite new career opportunities for the people of rural areas.

Prakriti Luitel

Accounting professional

Although the upcoming election has gained much public attention and debate, it has hardly left me affected. I do expect for changes in career perspective but I think it would not be as flexible as we plan it to be. Yet, since the election has given an opportunity to elect local representatives from each sector, I hope that they would be able to bring the problematic issues into light prioritizing the education sector regardless of the geographical barriers.

Sangay Lama

Undergraduate student

Since political stability plays a prime role to develop the country, I believe the upcoming election would have an immense affect to shape our country further. I do hope for the candidates to lead their works in a progressive manner. I am hopeful that the election would certainly be successful to bear suitable outcomes if the representatives are willing to work keeping their motives and goals unaffected at any circumstance.

Sumit Pradhan

Post-graduate student

The upcoming election that is being held almost after two decades has endowed me with enthusiasm and positive regards for our country. I believe it would provide a new energy, motivation and platform to every Nepali citizen. I am positive that the election would play a vital role in identifying and electing the most capable candidate in decision-making positions and thus create an atmosphere where indicative reforms could be brought boosting the education and employment sector in the country.

Preeti Karki

Engineer

More than anything else, I am looking forward to the reforms and changes that it might invite, mostly regarding the better educational opportunities and career perspectives. I am hopeful about the elections and the change it is going to bring creating adequate education and employment opportunities for people through political stability and assurance of security. I really hope that the candidates would keep their every word that they have been making since a couple of months.

Rama Gurung

Social worker

I sincerely hope that the upcoming elections and the changes that it would bring to our society would have a pleasant impact upon the career perspectives and opportunities. Although we have all the skills and knowledge that can transform the face of our country, we have not been able to perform best as per our caliber. I hope that the upcoming election would help to build a stable political condition in Nepal so that if not much support, at least the politics would not adversely affect letting all our youth efforts go in vain.
