UDAYAPUR, Dec 26: A man died on the spot while four others sustained injuries in a jeep accident in the district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Kamal Bahadur Magar of Bokse in Triyuga Municipality-10. The accident took place when a Bolero jeep ferrying oranges to the district headquarters Ghaighat from Raumatai Rural Municipality-4 met with an accident at Jitenpokhari after it went out of control, said SP Nawaraj Bhatta of District Police Office, Udayapur.
Doti jeep accident: two killed, seven injured
50-year-old Magar was found dead in the bush 500 meters down the accident site.
The ill-fated jeep has been stuck on the cliff, said Ganga Rana Magar, an eyewitness.
Three out of five travelling in the jeep have been injured.
The injured are 40-year-old Nirmala Rai, Bhakta Bahadur Sarki, 45, Ratna Rai, 35 of Rautamai, said police.
The accident took place at 2:15 pm.
