UDAYAPUR, Dec 19: One person was killed and five others were injured in a jeep accident in Udayapur on Monday morning.
65-year-old Min Bahadur Sarki of Tapli Rural Municipality died when a Bolero jeep (Pradesh 2-01-001 Cha 0050) coming from Rupatar to Katari met with an accident in Tapli Rural Municipality- 5. At 8:40 in the morning at Palsingh of Katari Municipality-10, six people out of nine were injured when the jeep fell down 100 meters from the road.
Two killed, six injured in jeep accident
They were rescued and sent to Katari Hospital for treatment. The police said Sarki died during treatment at 10:30 AM. Apart from the driver of the jeep, five people were injured. Among the injured are Fadindra Shrestha, 30, a resident of Lalbandi in Sarlahi district, his 7-year-old daughter Bhawani, his 2-year-old daughter Bhumika and 23-year-old Sumitra Giri of Tapli-5, Ruptar. Different parts of their bodies including mouths, hands and feet are injured. 45-year-old Jhagad Bahadur BK of Tapli-5, Rupatar has minor injuries on his mouth. Rakesh Podar, information officer of the District Police Office said that all of them are undergoing treatment at Katari Hospital.
