The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its Twitter handle informed the media about the arrival of Nepali nationals from Afghanistan. “Nepali nationals have started returning home from Afghanistan. 118 of them arrived at the Kathmandu airport by a chartered aircraft via Kuwait this morning,” it added. A Nepal Army team reached the airport to receive them.
Many Nepalis are still waiting to be rescued from Afghanistan. The MoFA has said that it will rescue all those who have come in contact with the ministry. Earlier, Nepal called on the international community for assistance in the rescue of Nepalis working in Afghanistan.
