The police sources have confirmed the arrest of individuals engaged in a range of activities, including recruiting youths for the Russian army, facilitating document preparation, and arranging visit visas.

“We have expedited the operation. It seems that a huge gang is active in this. The number of arrests will increase in a few days,” said the police source. The police investigation has also shown that the gang has convinced a large number of Nepali youths to join the Russian army.

“If you go to the Russian Embassy in the afternoon, you will see a huge crowd of Nepalis. That's all the gang’s work. We are trying to reach the leader of the gang,” said a police officer.

During the initial investigation by the police, the gang facilitated the travel of Nepali youth to Russia from the Tribhuvan International Airport on visit visas.
