BUTWAL, May 7: Police have arrested 13 Indian nationals from Butwal for engaging in online gaming betting activities.
The arrests were made on Monday following reports of online gaming and betting activities in a rented house at Horizon Chowk, Ward No-11, Butwal sub-metropolitan city.

The police also recovered 13 computers and 39 mobile phones from the arrested persons. Bijay Raj Pandit, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Area Police Office, Butwal, informed Republica that the arrested persons are Indian nationals. The police have not disclosed the personal details of those arrested.
DSP Pandit said that the arrested said they are from Rajasthan, India, but more details are yet to be verified.
The age range of the detainees is reported to be between 25 to 30 years old. Initial findings indicate that they were involved in betting activities through various online games, including 'Fair Play'.
The arrested had rented two flats in a house at Horizon Chowk a few months ago. It is alleged that they operated a betting business within the rented premises under the guise of a business.
DSP Pandit assured that ongoing investigations will uncover further details regarding the detainees' activities.
