PALPA, Oct 23: A total of 13 people were injured in separate accidents in Palpa today.


According to the police, 13 people were injured in two accidents in the morning and afternoon on Monday.


According to the District Police Office, Palpa, five people were injured when a van crashed near Raniban, Rambha Rural Municipality-4 in Palpa on Monday morning.

Sugandha Shrestha, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Palpa said that a van (Lu 1 Ja 3983), which was going to Birkot from Arya Bhanjyang via Rampur, met with an accident.


Police said that the condition of all the five injured persons is the same.


Similarly, eight people were injured in a jeep accident on Monday afternoon. The accident occurred at Lamdanda of Tansen, Butwal section under the Siddhartha highway, with the jeep (Lu 1 Ja 4165) going from Gulmi to Butwal via Palpa.


According to the police, Resham Giri ,45, of Tilottama Municipality-2 of Rupandehi, 45-year-old Topkala Gyawali, 45, of Thorga, Ruru Rural Municipality of Gulmi, Dan Bahadur Khatri, 39, of Ishma Rural Municipality-4 of Gulmi are in serious condition.


The police said that other injured individuals are in stable condition and are currently receiving medical treatment at Lumbini Medical College.


The jeep was carrying a total of 14 passengers.


 


Six members of the same family lost their lives in a jeep accident near Rani Mahal in Palpa on Sunday evening.
