DADELDHURA, June 12: A 13-year-old girl died while three others sustained injuries after being struck by lightning bolt at Marku-3 of Parshuram rural municipality in the district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sangita Bhat, an eighth-grader at the Shirsha-based Bhageswor Secondary School. Bhat, who was seriously injured after being struck by lightning bolt when she was preparing to leave for school at around 7 am, breathed her last while on the way to District Hospital in Dadeldhura.

Bharat Bista, 40, Mahadev Bhatta, 50, and Mina Bhat, 15, were injured in the lightning incident. Mina Bhat is the sister of Sangita who died in the incident.
