16 DIGs including all provincial police chiefs transferred

KATHMANDU, June 22: Sixteen senior police personnel of Nepal Police have been transferred. Home Minister Khagaraj Adhikari on Monday transferred 16 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) including all provincial police chiefs.

KATHMANDU, June 22: Sixteen senior police personnel of Nepal Police have been transferred. Home Minister Khagaraj Adhikari on Monday transferred 16 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) including all provincial police chiefs.


After the transfer, Dhiraj Pratap Singh has been given the responsibility of leadership in the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police. DIG Sahakul Bahadur Thapa, who was in the CIB, has been transferred to the Provincial Coordination Directorate.

Other DIGs Ganesh Bahadur has been transferred to to Karnali, Basant Kumar Pant to CIAA, Purushottam Kandel to Sudurpaschim, Ghanshyam Aryal to Special Bureau, Uttamraj Subedi to Ranipokhari, Rabindra Dhanuk to Crime Investigation Department, Prakash Adhikari to Human Resources and Administration Department, Basant Kumar Lama to the Secretariat of Inspector General and Ishwar Babu Karki to Research Planning and Development Directorate.
