16th Five Year Plan: Govt unveils 40 goals for prosperity (with full list)

KATHMANDU, April 25: The government has set 40 goals for its 16th development plan covering fiscal years 2024/25 to 2028/29 to boost prosperity.

KATHMANDU, April 25: The government has set 40 goals for its 16th development plan covering fiscal years 2024/25 to 2028/29 to boost prosperity. 


Starting this mid-July, the plan targets a 7.1% economic growth rate by 2028/29, aiming for a GDP of 2381 and a $2413 per capita income.

The plan anticipates an average growth rate of 6.6% over five years. Presented to the National Development Council, the plan includes 10 goals each for governance and social justice and 20 goals for prosperity.
