3,336 recoveries and five deaths witnessed in past 24 hours 


KATHMANDU, Oct 25: As many as 2,856 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the country in the past 24 hours.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 12, 311 people underwent PCR tests out of which 2,856 tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.


Similarly, the health ministry has also confirmed five new cases of fatality linked with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. So far, 847 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal. Nepal’s current COVID-19 death rate stands at 0.5 percent.


Likewise, some 3,336 people who had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery tally has reached 111,670 which accounts for 70.6 percent of the total cases.


As of Sunday afternoon, 3,064 people are in quarantine facilities, 32,593 COVID-19 patients are staying isolated at their homes, 277 are in ICU and 66 are on ventilators across the country.
