With three new COVID-19 related death recorded on Wednesday, Kathmandu Valley’s death toll hits 116


KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Kathmandu Valley recorded new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the Valley’s COVID-19 case tally to 18,374.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 492 individuals in Kathmandu, 95 in Bhaktapur and 50 in Lalitpur were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday.


Similarly, three more people --- two from Kathmandu and one from Lalitpur district-- have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. With this, the Valley’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 116.


The MoHP also reported 1172 new cases and 1893 cases of recovery from COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.


With seven more COVID-19 related deaths recorded across the country on Wednesday, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 436.
