KATHMANDU, March 17: A total of 220 votes have been cast in the polling station till 11 am under the Vice President election which is currently underway in Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar.

Assistant Election Officer Amrita Kumari Sharma informed Republica that 87 votes were cast by the federal parliament members and 133 votes by the provincial assembly members.


Voting for the election of the Vice President started at 10 am today at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar. Ashta Laxmi Shakya of CPN-UML, Mamata Jha of Janamat Party and Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav of Janata Samajwadi Party are candidates in the election.
