225 new deaths added in past 24 hours, Nepal's death tally goes past 4,000

KATHMANDU, May 11: Record-high 225 new deaths caused by the coronavirus infection were added in the past 24 hours in Nepal.

KATHMANDU, May 11: Record-high 225 new deaths caused by the coronavirus infection were added in the past 24 hours in Nepal. 


According to the Ministry of Health and Population(MoHP), the number was revised according to the data compiled by the Nepal Army, which has been entrusted with the responsibility to manage dead bodies of those dying of COVID-19.

With this, Nepal’s overall fatality tally of COVID-19 has soared to 4,084. It is to be noted that Nepal reported the first death due to infectious disease on May 16, 2020. 


Meanwhile, Nepal reported a total of 9,483 new cases while 5,225 others got over the disease on Tuesday .
