259 driving licenses sent to the Department of Transport Management for suspension

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has sent the driving licenses of 259 drivers who violated traffic rules more than five times to the Department of Transport Management for suspension.

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has sent the driving licenses of 259 drivers who violated traffic rules more than five times to the Department of Transport Management for suspension.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, spokesman for the traffic police office, informed Republica that as these driving license holders were found to have violated the traffic rules and other terms and conditions to be followed as per the Vehicle and Transport Management Act 2049 BS and its Regulation 2054 BS for more than five times, their licenses were sent to the transport management office .


Spokesman Bhatta has also requested everyone to follow the rules for safe travel as most of the traffic accidents are caused by drivers who keep violating the traffic rules.
