26 shortlisted for Miss Purbanchal 2017

KATHMANDU, August 25: As many as 26 contestants have been selected for the eighth edition of biggest beauty pageant of eastern Nepal, Miss Purbanchal. The event is sponsored by Silver Entertainment. The selected contestants will be trained for one month before the final event.

KATHMANDU, August 25: As many as 26 contestants have been selected for the eighth edition of biggest beauty pageant of eastern Nepal, Miss Purbanchal. The event is sponsored by Silver Entertainment. The selected contestants will be trained for one month before the final event.



The contestants were selected from audition rounds held in Dharan and Damak. Dharan’s Judging panel was lead by Professor Rajendra Jung Thapa supported by Himshikhar Television’s Dhruv Neupane and second runner up of ‘Miss Purbanchal 2014’ Pramisa Bajracharya. Similarly, media person Suresh Rai,  first runner up of ‘Miss Purbanchal 2016’ Iksa Maden and coordinator of Dharan Healthy Home Supriya Majhi lead the panel for Damak auditions.



“Different packages and campaigns are arranged to organize a grand event for the eastern region and help boost tourism in this area,” said the Director of Silver Entertainment Saurav Shrestha. The winner of the event will be awarded a Scooter, scholarship in UN College and foreign trip. Similarly, first and second runner ups are set to be awarded cash prize of Rs 50 and 30 thousand respectively along with scholarships.



Sabina Subba, Pratibha Shrestha, Asmita Gurung, Priyanka Shrestha and Kritika Giri are past winners of eastern region’s prestigious beauty pageant.
