19 died, 16 rescued alive in Trishuli bus plunge

DHADING, Oct 28: Dhading bus accident death toll has climbed to 19. According to SP Dhruba Raj Raut of Dhading District Police Office, nine among those killed are men while the seven are women and rest three are kids. However, the identities of those killed are yet to be ascertained.

DHADING, Oct 28: Dhading bus accident death toll has climbed to 19. According to SP Dhruba Raj Raut of Dhading District Police Office, nine among those killed are men while the seven are women and rest three are kids. However, the identities of those killed are yet to be ascertained.


As many as 16 others have been rescued alive when a bus plunged in the Trisuli River at Gajuri Rural Municipality in the district on Saturday morning.

According to area police office Gajuri, 13 among those injured are undergoing treatment at Gajuri Hospital while two others have been hospitalized at Trauma Center in Kathmandu.


The ill-fated bus, Na 4 Kha 1467, heading to Kathmandu from Rajbiraj of Saptari skidded off and plunged into the Trishuli River at 6 am today. 


Nepal Army, Armed Police Force have been deployed to the incident site. The rescue work has been hit as the bus has fallen into a gorge while the river is deep.
