KATHMANDU, Dec 3: The 32nd International Day of Persons with Disabilities is being celebrated with various programs in Nepal today. This year's Disability Day is being celebrated with the theme “United in action to rescue and achieve the SDGs for, with and by persons with disabilities.”
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed annually on December 3, following the United Nations' declaration of 1981 as the Year of the Disabled. The day aims to promote awareness and understanding of disability issues globally.

To commemorate this day, a march was organized by the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens and the National Federation of the Disabled-Nepal. The march began at Bhadra Kali in Kathmandu and traversed through New Road Gate, Shanti Batika, and Ratnapark, concluding at Bhrikuti Mandap.
