35-day arrest warrant against CPN General Secretary Chand

KATHMANDU, August 1: A 35-day arrest warrant has been issued against Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand.

KATHMANDU, August 1: A 35-day arrest warrant has been issued against Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand. 


The Lalitpur District Court has issued arrest warrants against more than half a dozen top leaders of the party including spokesperson Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma, Dharmendra Bastola, Uday Bahadur Chalaune, besides Chand.

The district court has issued arrest warrants against them on charges of attempt to murder and crimes against the state by detonating arms, ammunition and explosives.


They have been asked to appear before the court within 35 days. The Chand-led CPN has been conducting various violent activities across the country lately.
