377,000 anti-COVID vaccines brought to Nepal for booster dose

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: The government has brought 377,000 plus anti-COVID vaccines to administer as a booster dose.

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: The government has brought 377,000 plus anti-COVID vaccines to administer as a booster dose.


Ministry of Health and Population brought the vaccines since the vaccine is required for chronic patients and those traveling abroad.

Chief of the Supplies Management Section of Department of Health Services Dr Surendra Chaurasiya said that 377,000 shots of Pfizer vaccines were brought through the COVAX, the vaccines pillar of the Access to COVID-19 Tools.


Earlier on November 24, a total of 373,000 doses of anti-COVID vaccines were brought through the COVAX.


COVAX had pledged a total of 750,000 doses of anti-COVID vaccines for booster shots for Nepal.


The received vaccines would be sent to the province-level health facilities.
