40 percent of Valley’s population fully vaccinated against COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: As much as 40 percent of the population of the Kathmandu Valley has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Following the start of the vaccination campaign, 40 percent of people in the Kathmandu Valley have been administered both doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: As much as 40 percent of the population of the Kathmandu Valley has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Following the start of the vaccination campaign, 40 percent of people in the Kathmandu Valley have been administered both doses of COVID-19 vaccines. 


According to the statistics presented by the Ministry of Health and Population,  41 percent of the people have been fully vaccinated in Kathmandu, 41 percent in Bhaktapur and 38 percent in Lalitpur districts.

Earlier, the government had announced plans to fully vaccinate at least 33 percent of the population by October. PM Deuba had directed the authorities concerned to accelerate the vaccination drive for eligible citizens.  


Similarly, it has been informed that 29 percent of the population of Bagmati Province has received both doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
