KARNALI, March 25: The National Land Commission, Surkhet, is to provide land ownership certificates to 417 households of Kotmajhkharka at Bheriganga Municipality in Surkhet district in the first phase.
The Land Commission, Surkhet, is going to distribute land ownership certificates to the people of Kotmajhkharka by completing all due processes determined by the National Land Commission Procedure-2078. The settlement has been without land ownership certificates since 2042 BS.

The Commission would hand over the land ownership certificates to Bheriganga Municipality after completing all due process from Survey and Customs offices and the municipality would distribute the certificates to them later.
Surkhet District Chairperson of the Commission, Shreedhar Poudyal, said that 677 households of Kotmajhkharka had filed applications for the same and land ownership certificates would be distributed to 417 families in the first phase.
The land ownership certificates would be provided based on the details prepared by land –related commissions and committees formed in the past.
Chairperson Poudyal shared, "A technical team has been making all preparations for the distribution of land owner certificates. Preparation is on to provide land ownership certificate within a week."
The locals of Kotmajhkharka have been deprived of different services including banking and electricity for a long time because of the lack of land ownership certificates.
