6th Myagdi Festival to begin from January 12

MYAGDI, Jan 8: Photos taken 50 years ago by a United States of America nationalist that give insights into the daily lives and culture of then Myagdi resident will a new addition in the 6th Myagdi Festival to start from January 12 to 21. 


One of the segment of the fair is photo exhibition where the pictures taken by the US nationalist in 2022 will find its place, said the festival coordinator Bhoj Bahadur Rijal, also member of the working committee of the Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

One can view the contrast between then and present Myagdi as alongside the photos taken 50 years ago, pictures of present Myagdi taken recently will also be put on display, he said. 


So far 120 pictures of Myagdi have been selected to be put on display, he said. 


As of Sunday, tickets worth more than Rs 200,000 have been sold, said the fair organisers. A total of 180 stalls for various products will be set up in the festival that aims to bring in more than 150,000 domestic and foreign tourists, they said. Transactions worth approximately Rs 60 million are expected to take place.(RSS)
