KATHMANDU, Nov 4: A total of seven people injured in the earthquake in Jajarkot district have been transported to Kathmandu from Chaurjahari for further medical treatment.
Police Spokesperson DIG Kuber Kadayat said that seven injured people were transported to Kathmandu by a Nepal Airlines Corporation aircraft and are now under treatment at the TU Teaching Hospital.

According to DIG Kadayat, a total of 100 people have died in Jajarkot and 38 in Rukum West so far due to the earthquake. Similarly, 166 people were injured. According to him, 81 people were injured in Jajarkot and 85 people in Rukum. The severely injured were brought to Kathmandu for treatment.
Nepal Police has said that 859 policemen have been mobilized for relief, rescue, and search operations in the earthquake-affected areas, while more policemen have been kept ready for deployment as needed. Similarly, the Armed Police Force and the Nepali Army personnel are also deployed in the earthquake-affected areas.
Likewise, Bir Hospital and National Trauma Center in Kathmandu have been kept in readiness.
Vice-Chancellor of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) Prof Dr Bhupendra Kumar Basnet said that the emergency, operation theater, and ICU have been kept ready at Bir Hospital and and National Trauma Center.
