There are currently 11,786 active cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley alone
KATHMANDU, August 15: As many as 70,770 people received vaccines against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while 2,212 new cases of the disease were recorded on Sunday.
Nepal records 60 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday
According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 8,088 PCR tests and 4,018 antigen tests were conducted today. Of them, 1,793 PCR tests and 419 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.
Likewise, 33 people succumbed to COVID-19 while 1,867 recovered from the disease on Sunday.
There are currently 39,298 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them 758 are in ICUs, 193 on ventilators, 35,018 in home isolation and 4,280 in institutional isolation as of Sunday afternoon.
Similarly, the Kathmandu Valley where lies the country’s federal capital recorded 739 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Of them, 522 were detected in Kathmandu, 63 in Bhaktapur and 154 in Lalitpur districts. There are currently 11,786 active cases of COVID-19 in the Valley alone.
