According to him, 134 houses have been completed damaged due to flash floods and landslides as of today. During the meeting, the home secretary said that 11,000 houses in 14 districts are at high risk of monsoon-induced disasters. "Around 700 houses need to be immediately relocated," Neuapane said.

Secretary Neupane said that the ministry in coordination with local bodies is taking measures to control the floods and landslides. Parbat, Palpa, Bajhang, Gulmi, Sindhupalchok, Rukum, Kaski, Jajarkot, Dolakha, Sarlahai, Tanahun, and Sankhuwasabha are the most-affected districts due to monsoon-induced disasters in this rainy season.

During the meeting, lawmakers from various parties urged the federal government to effectively launch relief and rehabilitation packages in the flood and landslides-hit areas in coordination with the local units. Landslides and flash floods are a common occurrence in Nepal during the June-September monsoon every year.
