LAHAN, Oct 21: An Indian businessman who was abducted a week ago from roadside at Kanchanrup Municipality-8 in Lahan district has been freed on Saturday and the police arrested three Nepalis on the charge of his abduction.
Amit Kumar Sarada of Bhim Nagar Gram Panchayat 10 in Supaul district in India was freed from the house of Ambar Bahadur Magar of Kanchanrup Municipality-12 in Lahan district. He was unharmed during the abduction, police said.
Those arrested on the charges of abduction were Ambarnath Biswas, Shailendra Kumar Gupta and Pushkar Mahato of Kanchanrup Municipality in the district.
Police have also seized two set of country-made pistol and a car with Indian registration number-DL 3 CAA 8956 used during the abduction.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office, Saptari, Mukesh Kumar Singh, police will file a case of abduction and hostage taking against those arrested.(RSS)
