Rawat said perhaps the death could be prevented if she was brought to the health post once she complained of labour pain. However, the condition of the child is normal.
Though the health post has managed free ambulance services for the people here, preventable deaths continue to take place as parents and families are not always serious about the situation.
"Though we are sending frequent calls for those expectant mothers for regular health checkups and for visiting the health post for delivery, the situation is not encouraging," he added.
