KATHMANDU, Sept 21: An agreement on recruitment of Nepali workers through Employee Permit System (EPS) to South Korea has been renewed.
The agreement was renewed after Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Gokarna Raj Bista, on Friday signed the agreement sent by his South Korean counterpart in this regard.
The contract period of the agreement signed between Nepal and South Korea two years ago was effective till September 20. The agreement is being renewed every two years.
The Nepali workers are being recruited in South Korea through EPS since 2008 as per the agreement signed between governments of Nepal and South Korea. A total of 54,363 Nepali workers have so far been recruited through EPS.
