All local levels directed to form anti-drug abuse cell in every school

KATHMANDU, June 13: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed all 753 local levels to establish anti-drug abuse unit in every school.

KATHMANDU, June 13: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed all 753 local levels to establish anti-drug abuse unit in every school.


The Federal Affairs Ministry directed the local level for the same at the request of the Home Ministry, said officer at the Local-Level Coordination Section, Janakraj Sharma. The Federal Affairs Ministry asked the local levels to form such a cell in every school on June 26, International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is celebrated across the world including Nepal. Sharma said that the Federal Affairs Ministry asked to establish the anti-drug abuse cell in every school as creating public awareness against drug was necessary.


The government has decided to observe the Day from June 21-26.
