PM Oli has called an all-party meeting after massive protests demanding restoration of monarchy were held across the country. Demonstrations in support of former king Gyanendra have started in different parts of the country. Slogans have been chanted in favor of the monarchy and the Hindu nation in various parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. The Nepal Communist Party, the ruling party, has accused the government of patronizing such activities.

At the NCP Standing Committee meeting, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had earlier said that an all-party meeting should be held to discuss the issue.
