KATHMANDU, May 12: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reportedly expressed his readiness to form a parliamentary committee to probe the cooperative case involving Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, following a meeting with Nepali Congress (NC) leaders at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
Ramesh Lekhak, Chief Whip of the NC, said that the party’s demand for a parliamentary inquiry into Lamichhane’s involvement in the cooperative fraud case is deemed positive by PM Dahal.

“We have stressed on the need for a parliamentary probe committee concerning cooperatives. Our meeting with PM Dahal centered on this issue, and he has shown receptivity,” said Lekhak.
According to him, NC’s central working committee meeting is scheduled for 1 o’clock tomorrow, followed by a parliamentary party meeting at 2 o’clock.
