MANHARI, Jan 2: The Armed Police Force (APF) Club has won the Keshav Lal Shrestha Memorial National Women's Volleyball Tournament held in Hetauda.
In the final match held today, APF defeated Chandragiri Municipality's New Diamond Club by 3-1 sets. The APF defeated New Diamond in sets of 25-19, 20-25, 25-17 and 25-23 to also win a cash prize of Rs. 200,000. Likewise, the runner-up New Diamond won Rs. 100,000.
APF to defend Didi-Bahini title against Police
Niruta Thagunna was declared the best player of the tournament and Bijay KC the best coach.
New Diamond defeated Tribhuvan Army and APF defeated Nepal Police Club to book a place in the final of the tournament.
Mayor of Hetauda sub-metropolitan city Meena Kumari Lama, President of the organizer Keshavalal Shrestha Memorial Foundation Pratap Bista and President of Makwanpur District Volleyball Association Basant Kumar Sitaula and other guest gave away the prizes and certificates to the winners.
