APF divers mobilized to search for children missing in Sunkoshi

KATHMANDU, March 25: Armed Police Force (APF) divers have been mobilized to search for the children who went missing in the Sunkoshi River while swimming and bathing after playing Holi.


On Sunday, three children went missing in the Sunkoshi River at Dhaplang, Triyuga Municipality-14 in Udayapur district.

On Sunday evening until now, despite the efforts of Armed Police Force No 5, Triyuga, Udayapur, to locate the missing children, the search was unsuccessful. Consequently, this morning, operations were carried out by Baraha Brigade 1 Headquarters of the Koshi Province in Sunsari.


Co-spokesman DSP Shailendra Thapa stated that a force including nine divers has been mobilized under the command of Armed Police Force Inspector Umesh Kafle to search for the missing children.
